I’ve called The Arts District, Los Angeles, CA home for the past 10 years. The truth is, in my 24 years living all over LA, it’s been my favorite neighborhood to call home. The area is very walkable, filled with some of the best restaurants in the world, amazing street art, fabulous art galleries, exciting bars, arcades for adults, and other fun happenings.

It’s important to differentiate the DTLA Arts District from the NOHO Arts District, Los Angeles, CA. You may be wondering, how big is Los Angeles that it has not one but two Arts Districts? Los Angeles is a big place. The NOHO Arts District is located in the valley and is decidedly less exciting. I should know, I also lived in the valley for 10 years.

The Row DTLA

Featuring 30 acres of retail outlets, offices, restaurants, pop-up shops, and plenty of events in Downtown LA, The Row is more than an outdoor shopping mall. The ROW features everything from home goods and wine, to fashion and Japanese bicycles. It’s also home to Smorgasburg, a weekly Sunday market, complete with a beer garden. Smorgasburg is a feast for the senses.

There is ample parking and the property is accessible to wheelchair users. The ROW also offers online courses in everything from ceramics to building your own Shopify website, along with a myriad of virtual events.
