The Ritz sits in Place Vendôme, one of the most elegant squares in Paris. You walk through those famous doors and something shifts. The lighting is warm, the pace is slow, and the staff move with a kind of calm confidence that instantly lowers your shoulders.

Luxury here isn’t loud. It’s subtle.

No one rushes you. No one makes you feel out of place. It feels… intentional.

The Rooms: Classic Parisian Dream

The rooms are exactly what you imagine, silk drapes, marble bathrooms, plush bedding, antique-style furnishings… but nothing feels dusty or overdone.

What stood out most to me:

Dinner is an even more luxurious experience. Though I didn’t personally dine in the Michelin-starred Espadon Restaurant, a few members of my family did, and they were blown away by the delicious menu and service.

For a decadent tea service, try Salon Proust. The tea room features rare teas, exquisite chocolates, a world tour of coffees and other delights. At Salon Proust, gourmet delicacies and l’art de vivre go hand in hand. It’s a ritual observed with the utmost attention to detail.

I’ll also add in this section that the staff was very attentive when I had an episode of anaphylactic shock. We immediately called the hotel doctor, and an ambulance was sent to escort me to the local American hospital. The hotel sent representatives to discreetly escort me out of the building without having other guests gawking at my misfortune. It was handled perfectly, proving even a near-death experience can be glamorous.

Is the Ritz Paris Worth the Price?
