Best Wineries in Paso Robles

Welcome to my guide to the best Wineries in Paso Robles, California! Living in Los Angeles and being a huge fan of Big Sur, California, I frequently pass through Paso Robles wine country and always make it a point to check out some of the incredible wineries. While you may think of Napa Valley and Sonoma when it comes to California wine country, don’t sleep on Paso Robles! This central coast town is one of th best wine producing areas in the country and it’s loaded with great tasting rooms.

Paso Robles is also a vacation destination in and of itself. With over 200 wineries, you could spend ages enjoying all the wine tasting opportunities. The town itself is also incredibly picturesque and a great destination for those who enjoy photography. Just don’t drink too much or you’ll end up with a SIM card filled with thumb pictures over blurry Paso Robles vineyards. (I speak from experience.)

I’m admittedly no wine snob, but I do enjoy a nice cabernet sauvignon, syrah, or Pinot Noir, all of which Paso Robles is known for. The area also produces incredible zinfandels, grenache, and rhône blends.

So get your glasses ready, and read on for some of the best wineries in Paso Robles and everything you need to help plan your trip!

This season is ideal for exploring the local wineries, enjoying outdoor activities, and attending events like the Paso Robles Wine Festival held in May.

Summer (June to August) is Paso Robles' peak tourist season, characterized by warm to hot weather and bustling vineyards. If you don't mind the crowds and higher accommodation rates, summer offers an array of festivals, outdoor concerts, and vineyard tours under the sunny skies.
