Things To See In Krakow Poland

On my recent trip to Warsaw, Poland I was fortunate to take a day trip to the beautiful city of Krakow. Kraków was the official capital of Poland until 1596 and has traditionally been one of the leading centers of Polish academic, economic, cultural, and artistic life. If you’re considering taking a trip to Poland, I highly recommend spending some time in Krakow. Traveling with the whole family? Exploring Krakow with kids is also a great idea.

Sadly, I only got to spend one day in Krakow. While the size of the city is relatively small, I do wish I had scheduled a few days there so I could have experienced all of the unique things to do in Krakow and enjoyed my travels at a slower pace. If you’re making the trip, I do recommend 2 or 3 days in Krakow so you can enjoy all the major sites and make day trips such as Auschwitz and Birkenau. It’s a very long day if you plan on touring Krakow and visiting Auschwitz. I ended up being on my feet for about 12 hours that day trying to fit everything in, which was quite hard on my body.

If you’re wondering what to see in Krakow, I’ve compiled a list of the best things to do in Krakow, Poland. From beautiful Old Town to some trips just outside the city, these Krakow attractions will have you falling in love with the city. As always, I’ll include my travel tips for disabled travelers.

Please enjoy these fun things to do in Krakow, Poland.

Wandering through the labyrinth of narrow alleyways reveals hidden gems such as Wawel Castle and the historic Cloth Hall. (More on these later.) Visitors can savor traditional Polish delicacies in the cozy restaurants, or simply soak in the timeless ambiance of this UNESCO World Heritage site.

Many of the attractions in Krakow are located in or mere steps from Old Town Krakow, and the area is pleasantly flat and easy to explore.
